True Emcee BBQ: UBO Magazine Hosts Networking Parties to Bring Together Sacramento's Unique Hip-Hop Scene, Just Bring Your Own Beer, Meat and Veggies

Sacramento, CA, June 23, 2007- UBO Magazine will be working hand-in-hand, literally with many of Sacramento, Roseville, Orangevale, Citrus Heights, Davis and surrounding area's hip-hop collectives, artists, labels and producers to create Sacramento Chamber of Commerce of Hip-Hop. The book will more than likely, according to UBO Magazine's Founder and Editor-In-Chief, Aaris A. Schroeder, be entitled, "Sacramento Chamber of Commerce: Hip-Hop Edition, Volume I."

The idea is simple. On a first come, first served basis, an emcee, hip-hop group or similar tasting music will contact UBO Magazine via e-mail or phone to arrange a BBQ that will take place at UBO Magazine home-headquarters. That person will then invite two-three other emcees or groups over to network, share ideas, exchange information and contacts in the local media that will assist other artists to improve their music through public relations, promotions, sound, graphic design and other services while everyone is relaxing to a nice summer night with BBQ and beer.

The only request that Schroeder asks is that you bring something to write on, your address/contact books, calendars, something to grill; be it meat or veggies and your own six-pack.

"There has been a lot of talk, recently about negative things being said about hip-hop, in general in Sacramento that needs to be squelched. I think the best way to do this is over a fire with networking to build us back up and beer to bring us together as a strong, unique collective," says Schroeder.

There is no actual date for the release of "Sacramento Chamber of Commerce: Hip-Hop Edition, Volume I," until UBO Magazine can meet and network with each emcee and group in Sacramento.

This idea will then prove to launch various other promotional ideas for the Sacramento hip-hop scene such as festivals, workshops, live music, weekly chamber meetings and other various networking and fun events centered around living a hip-hop lifestyle, according to Schroeder.

You can find his postcards in almost all of the midtown businesses, offering up postcards in both Eat The Grid and Shop The Grid.
